Please note: Because of zoning regulations, no signs announcing the event may be placed on the property without permission of the Board of Trustees. Alcoholic beverages may not be served at non-Chapel events or activities.
By submitting this form, the organization agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Longboat Island Chapel, its agents, employees or any other person against loss or expense including attorney fees, by reason of the liability imposed by law upon the Longboat Island Chapel, except in cases of the Longboat Island Chapel’s sole negligence, for damage because of bodily injury, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, or an account of damage to property arising out of or in consequence of this agreement, whether such injuries to persons or damage to property are due or claim to be due to any passive negligence of the Longboat Island Chapel, its employees or agents or any other person. It is further understood and agreed that the contractor shall (at the option of the Longboat Island Chapel) defend the Longboat Island Chapel with appropriate counsel and shall further bear all costs and expenses, including the expense of counsel, in the defense of any suit arising hereunder.
The Longboat Island Chapel reserves the right to request a certificate of insurance from individuals or groups utilizing Chapel facilities for non-Chapel related activities. The certificate should specifically indemnify the Chapel from any accident or injury to participants, as well as damage to personal property, obtained while on Chapel property, including the parking area.
